Lesson learned!

Before I started dental assisting school,  my friend who is a dental assistant, told me it would be worth investing in a good pair of nursing shoes, no matter how expensive. She told me as a dental assistant your constantly on the move so a great pair of shoes would be worth it in the long run.

But what did I do?

I bought $10 shoes from Wal-Mart instead. In my defense, I tried them on and they were super comfortable!

Well, I decided a few days ago it was time for them to be washed, so I put them in the washer and then threw them in the dryer. The results?

Destroyed soles, of course!

Alright, alright! I’ve learned my lesson, comfortable (cheap) shoes are never going to cut it!

You know what I would love?

More dental assisting blogs, particularly from student dental assistants! I’ve found plenty of general dental blogs, and blogs of students going to school for dentistry, but not one blog dedicated about life as a student or professional dental assistant. I make up for the lack by reading nursing student blogs, and they’re great, but it’s not the same!

Where are all my dental assistant bloggers at?!

Dental Assistants you should know!

While browsing around dentalassistant.org, I came across their recognized dental assistants section. Reading through the interviews gives me inspiration towards to my goal of becoming a professional dental assistant.
