Before I started dental assisting school, my friend who is a dental assistant, told me it would be worth investing in a good pair of nursing shoes, no matter how expensive. She told me as a dental assistant your constantly on the move so a great pair of shoes would be worth it in the long run.
But what did I do?
I bought $10 shoes from Wal-Mart instead. In my defense, I tried them on and they were super comfortable!
Well, I decided a few days ago it was time for them to be washed, so I put them in the washer and then threw them in the dryer. The results?
Destroyed soles, of course!
Alright, alright! I’ve learned my lesson, comfortable (cheap) shoes are never going to cut it!
